Cavan and Monaghan are among the two of the three counties that saw housing price decreases in the first quarter of this year.
That's according to My Home which has today released a new report.
In the report it was indicated that the median asking price for a home nationwide was €385,000.
In Cavan house prices have decreased by 3.04%, with the average house now costing €222,500.
In Monaghan the average asking price of a house stands at €195,000, that's a decrease of 2.5%.
The only other county in the Republic of Ireland that saw a decrease was County Clare where prices decreased by 3.39% to €285,000.
The report also found the inflation rate in Dublin stands at 2.9 per cent and at 6.1 per cent in the rest of the country.
Author of the report Conall MacCoille says while asking prices are balancing out, actual prices could be around 7% higher.
