The editor of a local newspaper says it will take 'years' for housing supply to reach the target set out by government.
It comes after Housing Minister James Browne admitted it will be 'very difficult' for his department to build the promised number of 41,000 new homes this year.
According to Daft.ie, there are 325 homes on sale in Cavan and Monaghan, and only 26 can be rented.
