Hundreds of people to gather outside Dail for protest against maternity hospital restrictions

Hundreds of people are expected to gather outside the Dail later for a protest against ongoing restrictions in maternity hospitals.

They want the Health Minister to honour his commitment to end the exclusion of partners from labour and emergency appointments in all units.

Pregnant women, partners and newborn babies are expected to be among those attending the demonstration.

Linda Kelly from Better Maternity Care says they didn’t think they’d have to take to the streets.
