The most recent search for the remains of Columba McVeigh, one of the "disappeared" on Bragan Bog Co Monaghan has ended without success.
The Independent Commission for the Location of Victims' Remains (ICLVR) made the announcement, the say the McVeigh family has been informed.
Columba McVeigh was abducted, murdered and secretly buried by the IRA in 1975 when he was aged 19.
This was the seventh search and it was based on a review of the area that was previously searched when a number of areas that hadn't been searched were identified.
Overall, between 26 and 30 acres have been searched over the years.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show today, Eamon Henry of the Independent Commission for the Location of Victims' Remains (ICLVR) said the group has other strands of information to follow.
