The IDA’s Regional Business Manager for Cavan and Monaghan says the new developments here will make the area more attractive to foreign investors.

James Boyle acknowledged that there has been a reduction in development locally this year due to Covid, as most companies like to travel to locations themselves before making a decision, which has hampered progress.

However, he rejected claims that there haven’t been enough IDA visits to the area in recent years, stating that visits have increased and he intends to promote the talent available in the region to foreign investors under the new strategy.

Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound James says the new infrastructure in both counties will make it more attractive in the years ahead:
