Teagasc, in collaboration with the IFA and St David's Poultry Veterinary Team hosted a Knowledge Transfer event, which took place in the Hotel Kilmore, Cavan earlier today.
The event was aimed at giving egg producers the opportunity to meet, ask questions and develop a better understanding of what the next few years might look like for producers.
It also offered producers the opportunity to meet with key stakeholders, DAFM staff and fellow producers.

Speaking to Northern Sound, IFA's Poultry Vice-Chair and Cavan egg producer, Brendan Soden, said there was a "great turnout" at today's event.
He added that the number of local producers who were in attendance, highlights the "importance" of the egg industry across the region.
