The Taoiseach announced the timeline for reopening last night.

International travel could return as soon as July.

Taoiseach Micheál Martin says the government intends to embrace the EU's digital green cert.

That could allow people to fly through the European Union if they've been vaccinated, have already had COVID or have a negative PCR test.

It comes as Northern Ireland has taken a big step towards reopening its economy with restrictions on retail and outdoor hospitality easing.

Pubs and restaurants can serve people in outdoors settings in groups of six, from no more than two households.

Retail stores across the North opened for the first time in around four months this morning.
