'Police believe that two males were involved in this attempt'

Police in Co Fermanagh are investigating an attempted theft from an ATM in Irvinestown. The incident took place at around 2am on Thursday morning when police were alerted to an alarm activation at a premises on the Dromore Road, Irvinestown.

Officers were in the vicinity and arrived less than five minutes later where they located a door to the ATM room forced open. Thankfully nothing was taken on this occasion.

Police believe that two males were involved in this attempt. One is described as tall, slim and wearing a hooded top and gloves. The second was slightly shorter than the first and was wearing light coloured clothing. Police would like to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the Irvinestown and surrounding rural area.
