The trial is due back before Mr Justice Tony Hunt just after 11 o'clock today.

The Ashling Murphy murder trial resumes before the Central Criminal Court this morning. 33 year old Jozef Puska, of Lynally Grove, Mucklagh, County Offaly, denies murdering the school teacher along the Grand Canal in Tullamore, on January 12th 2022.

It's the State’s case that Jozef Puska confessed to murdering Ashling Murphy on the 12th January 2022, and did so at a level of detail which only that person would have known.
Mr. Puska denies the allegations.

Today it’s expected the jury will be looking at CCTV evidence when proceedings continue this morning.
