Justice Minister says 'nobody is stalling' Shane O'Farrell scoping inquiry

Two years ago, Judge Gerard Haughton was commissioned to carry out a scoping inquiry into the case.

The Justice Minister says "nobody is stalling" the scoping inquiry into the death of Shane O'Farrell.

The 23 year old law student was cycling on the N2 when he was hit by a car in 2011.

The driver had breached his bail conditions and didn't stop at the scene.

Two years ago, Judge Gerard Haughton was commissioned to carry out a scoping inquiry into the case, but that inquiry has yet to be completed.

Justice Minister Helen McEntee says she understands that Judge Haughton is awaiting some final details before publishing his findings.
