The Killylough Tug of War group are running a community event which will take place tomorrow at the Tydavnet Show.
Founded in Monaghan back in the 70s, this local sporting group has only gone from strength to strength, having scooped up a number of awards most recently in the British and Irish Word Championships.
While the group was forced to disband back in 2014 due to a lack of members, Head Coach, Gerard McQuillan who has been involved with Killylough Tug of War since 1971, felt a need to revive the successful group only this year.

Speaking to Northern Sound, Gerard believes the sport can be enjoyed by people of all ages and has encouraged locals to come along to tomorrow's event in order to see what the sport is all about:
