Leona Maguire fell short in her bid to claim a record 2 million dollor purse at the CME Group Tour Championship in Florida last night as she finished in second place to Lydia Ko.
The Cavan native went into the final round as the joint-leader with Ko after shooting a sensational nine-under 63 on Saturday.
Longford and Cavan Golf Professional, Peter Duignan said it still represents a terrific showing from Maguire who collects 550,000 dollars for her second-placed finish.
