A local ASTI member says there are a number of issues to be ironed out regarding the written Leaving Cert exams.

Pat Deery, who is also a retired teacher from Monaghan, says that he welcomes the agreement that has been reached and encourages students to do both options.

However, he also highlights that there are a number of logistical problems that need to be dealt with prior to the written exams.

Mr.Deery in particular has concerns over the distribution of papers, the numbers of students in centres, and the number of staff required to monitor exams:
