Three County Monaghan food businesses are on the shortlist for this year's The Good Food Ireland awards. The Castle Leslie Estate in Glaslough has received two nominations in the "culinary haven of the year" category and its Snaffles Restaurant for the "hotel restaurant of the year" award. The Wild Thyme Restaurant in Threemilehouse meanwhile, is being considered for the coveted Restaurant of the Year title. The judging involves on-site inspection. Those businesses who make the shortlist are regarded by the judges as embodying all that makes Ireland's food offering so standout.
