A local councillor has raised issues surrounding dirty in Co Cavan.
Stiofán Conaty raised the issue at the most recent meeting of Bailieborough-Cootehill.
The Sinn Fein councillor pointed out that there is an issue with a number of signs in the area getting dirty, unsightly and becoming difficult to read.
These signs are the responsibility of the council and Cllr Conaty asked was there anything that can be done to clean them up and make them easier to read for people.
In response he was told that the road signs do fall within responsibility of the council but unfortunately it is a matter of a lack of resources.
Speaking with Northern Sound, Cllr Conaty it's unfortunate but he understands it.
