A local councillor has highlighted concerns in relation to hard water in the areas of Monaghan Town, Scotstown and Tydavnet.
Hard water is water that has a high mineral content.

Cllr Raymond Aughey said he has been notified of the situation by a number of constituents.
Cllr Aughey made contact with Uisce Eireann over the matter as it is does not fall under the remit of Monaghan County Council.
In its response, Uisce Eireann said it "does not matter" if the water is hard as long as it's safe to drink.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Aughey said he will continue to put pressure on Uisce Eireann and write to them once again in a bid to resolve the issue:
