A Monaghan councillor has welcomed the announcement of funding under the Towns and Village Renewal Scheme to Clones Youth Centre.
A funding allocation of €250,000 was recently announced by Minister Heather Humphreys for the refurbishment of Clones Youth Centre by upgrading the infrastructure and enhancing the spaces for diverse community services. Speaking to Northern Sound, Fine Gael's Richard Truell described the announcement as "great news" for the facility which is located beside St Tiernach's Park in Clones. According to Cllr Truell, the facility is a "great way" of brining young adults from the local area together.
He added that the building is in need of a "face lift" through refurbishment works:
