A Cavan based disability advocate has spoken out about the huge problem with irresponsible parking in the Northern Sound region.
David Cahill from Ballyjamesduff, was speaking about the issue of bad parking, which can greatly impact people with disabilities.
Last Friday was Make Way Day organised by the Disability Federation of Ireland, which aims to drawing attention to the problems caused by things left on the footpaths causing obstructions.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning, David noted that there needs to be a balance found, for the rights of road users, people utilising pedestrian spaces and the rights of businesses for footfall.
He added that convenience parking is a problem.
