A local DJ is calling for more government investment to prevent the 'death' of rural nightclubs.
The Give Us the Night campaign group has been calling for more supports to incentivise small nightclubs in rural Ireland to stay open.
Outlined in their appeal are calls for adjustments to the VAT rate, to update the current alcohol licensing laws, and to provide greater protection to nightclubs when challenges arise.
