Green Party's Tate Donnelly says that it would be a popular amenity for the local community.

A local election candidate in Co Monaghan has called for the restoration of the tennis courts to the rear of Hope Castle in Castleblayney.
Green Party's Tate Donnelly says that it would be a popular amenity for the local community.
He says it must be a priority of the local council to restore and redevelop the old tennis courts to the rear of Hope Castle.

Many local people have very fond memories of using the tennis courts over the years and the local man says it is such a shame that they have been let go and are lying derelict with no current plans for their restoration.
Tate says the redevelopment of these courts would provide a fantastic amenity in the heart of our town for the use of the community - be that for tennis, basketball, or 5-a-side pitches.
