'We’re the heaviest burdened tax payers in Europe using the roads and it should be left to those who are paying it'

A North Monaghan farmer says he dreads driving his tractor on weekend mornings due to the burden of cyclists using the road.

According to Michael, cyclists who do not ride in a single file manner pose a great threat to the health and safety of both those who cycle and also other vehicle drivers.

Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show, Michael said the success of the North Monaghan cycling club is something that he "congratulates" however the desire for cyclists to ride side by side as opposed to a single file, is something that local roads are just "not capable of accommodating."
