A local IFA representative has expressed his concerns at EU proposals to change agricultural policy.
Farmers across Europe protested this morning at plans to scrap guaranteed funding for the sector.
The demonstrations coincided with a meeting of the European Commission in Brussels, which looked at changing the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy.
Currently, budgets are ringfenced for farmers but the Commission want to amalgamate them, and form one single fund.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show, Ulster/North Leinster Regional IFA chair, Frank Brady says farmers have been let down time and time again when it comes to promises from Governments.
