Local men encouraged to have open conversations about health at online event

Local men are being encouraged have open conversations about their health through a virtual event.

Crocus Men's Den in Monaghan and Cuan Cavan Cancer Support Centre have joined forces to present an online talk this evening focusing on the importance of looking after yourself.

Featuring Professor Niall Moyna and Cavan footballer Oisin Kiernan, its being promoted as part of International Men's Health Week, which runs until Sunday.

It's billed as an "informative chat" on wide ranging topics, but a particular focus on cancer supports for men.

Martin Maguire from Crocus Men's Shed says he hopes it'll break down some of the stigma.
