Local Minister says public health advice will guide potential vaccine changes

Experts say Ireland could reach 80% vaccine target by end of May if vaccine doses are spaced out.

Minister Heather Humphreys says the government will continue to follow the public health advice regarding potential changes to the way covid vaccines are administered.

Public health officials are considering extending out the weeks, beyond the current four, to get more doses into people.

Professor Luke O'Neill says we could reach the 80% vaccine target by the end of May if the vaccine doses are spaced out.

Speaking on this morning's Joe Finnegan Show, Minister Humphreys said the latest vaccine figures show "there is ground for positivity":
