A local Minister says the successful vaccination programme will help prevent further lockdowns.
Cavan/Monaghan TD Heather Humphreys praised the members of the public who have gotten their vaccines and says she is hopeful for the end of this month when restrictions lift on the 22nd of October.
She also said that the situation would have to be monitored on a regular basis with the Government continuing to take advice from public health officials.
