Civil Defence Crews in Cavan and Monaghan as well as Leitrim are to get new jeeps.
Both units are to receive a Ford Ranger crew-cab to help respond to emergencies and severe weather events.
The vehicles are being delivered through an Office of Government Procurement contract.

Local Minister Heather Humphreys welcomed the announcement and said they'll be an additional resource for those who respond to emergencies year round.
