The festival took place last weekend in Sligo.

A local singer says the Fleadh Fest shows the resilience of artists.

Last weekend the Fleadh Ceoil was held in a different format in Sligo, with finalists from 2019 invited to compete at an outdoor venue without an audience.

There were a number of finalists from both Cavan and Monaghan and 14 of those came away winning their categories.

Catriona Sherlock from Monaghan was competing in the women's senior ballad singing category and says waiting in the car before hand was strange, but she was glad to be back performing.

She says that the Fleadh Fest shows how resilient the arts sector is in spite of a tough year:
