A number of hospitality venues across Co Monaghan emerged victorious in this year's prestigious 'Irish Bar Of The Year Awards'. Andy's Bar in Monaghan town won 'Gin Bar Of The Year' while Dignams Bar in Castleblayney was crowned 'Local Bar Of The Year' and also won a silver award in the 'Best Bar To Watch The Match' category.
Conor's Bar & Lounge at the Castle Leslie Estate, was also in the running for 'Hotel Bar Of The Year' and also 'Gastro Bar Of The Year' at last night's awards ceremony which took place at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road.
The Bar of the Year Awards was attended by senior decision makers across the licensing industry, from group directors and business owners to general managers and bartenders.
According to the association, after months of rigorous evaluation and deliberation, a judging panel of industry experts handpicked the best of the bar industry.
Speaking in relation to last night's ceremony, judges extended their heartfelt congratulations to all the winners, stating that their "passion" and "hard work" have made the bar community "richer" and "more vibrant."
