A local TD has met with senior management at Bus Éireann over the 109 service linking Cavan and Dublin.
Deputy Brendan Smith says he has heard from many frustrated commuters over the 9.45am bus leaving Cavan Town.
He says on a number of occasions the bus is not showing up and he says he can fully understand why commuters would be annoyed.
The local TD says these concerns have been relayed to Bus Éireann and they have said that the issue centred around the lack of vehicles.
He has been given assurances that the problem will be addressed going forward.
Deputy Smith says that will come as good news to people who use the service and have been let down in the past.
