The Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, and Cavan/Monaghan TD says X must urgently shut down content created by its AI tool Grok.
Niamh Smyth is seeking a meeting with the platform after sexually explicit deepfake images of women and minors circulated online.
She says the activity is illegal under Irish and EU law and should never be allowed on any platform.

Minister Smyth says she will make that clear directly to X.
