A local TD has welcomed approval of a housing development in Co Cavan.
The Department of Housing, Heritage and Local Government has given approval to Cavan County Council in respect of a new housing development at Main Street, Killeshandra.
This formal approval follows on from the decision by the Minister for Housing, James Browne to approve a number of substantial housing developments throughout County Cavan by the Council.

A number of Housing Schemes have been completed and others are under construction which will substantially increase the housing stock in the county.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Deputy Brendan Smith explained the new development.
