An animal welfare charity is urging members of the public to help rehome hundreds of hens. Little Hill Animal Rescue is organising a special hen pick-up today at
various locations across the region. Its special mission will take in Sligo, Virginia, Newbliss, Clones, Longford, Mullingar, Belturbet, Carrick-on-Shannon, Blacklion and Manorhamilton this afternoon.
Susan Anderson of Little Hill says the public are invited to come along to these venues and meet these 'beautiful girls'. Speaking to the Joe Finnegan Show, she said updates are available on the animal sanctuary's Facebook page.
