A house in Bawnboy in West Cavan was destroyed in a fire yesterday afternoon.
Fire crews from Ballyconnell and Belturbet fought the blaze.
Gardaí say they along with the fire service attended the scene of the fire at approximately 3.10pm yesterday afternoon.
Fire services extinguished the fire and made the area safe.
Gardai confirmed no injuries were reported.
Meanwhile, another house fire occurred in Cootehill yesterday afternoon also which saw fire crews from Cootehill and Cavan attend.
Fire crews in breathing apparatus extinguished the fire and prevented it spreading to an adjoining property.
One person was treated at the scene by the National Ambulance Service following that fire.
