The former National President of the ICA passed away at St. Anne's Nursing Home in Ballybay yesterday.

Mamo McDonald is said to have changed the lives of women both locally and across the world.

That is the message from the current president of the Clones ICA Guild Josephine Reilly, who has paid tribute to the former President of the ICA following her passing.

The 91 year old passed away in St Anne's Nursing Home in Ballybay yesterday and was well known across the country for her role in the organisation and for her work campaigning for women's rights.

Josephine says she recognised the need for women to have things to do outside the home, and was always there to help those in need here and abroad.

She says Mamo will be a hard act to follow:
