A 44-year-old man was arrested by police this morning.

A man has been arrested in the North in relation to the attempted murder of PSNI officer John Caldwell. The detective chief inspector was shot in front of his son at sports complex in Omagh nearly a year ago, and survived.

Police today arrested a 44-year-old in the Dungannon area under the Terrorism Act. A number of items have also been seized after a search at a property this morning.
