A man in his early 50's was arrested in Monaghan over the weekend after a quantity of drugs was discovered in a car.
On Friday, Gardai stopped the vehicle in Monaghan town and carried out a search.
They subsequently discovered a quantity of suspected amphetamine.

The man was detained at Monaghan Garda Station for questioning but has since been released.
A file is being prepared for the DPP and Gardai are continuing to investigate.
