A man has been charged in connection with a series of robberies in Drogheda in the past number of weeks. Following a search of a residence in Drogheda yesterday morning an imitation handgun was seized.
The man, aged in his late 40s, was arrested and taken to Drogheda Garda station where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. He appeared due in court this morning.
