A man in Cavan town was arrested after trying to gain entry to a building site in the town on Wednesday last. Gardaí were alerted to the intruder at the site and upon arrival observed him attempting to gain entry to the site.
A foot chase ensued and a man in his late 20's was subsequently arrested. Gardai say that upon arrest, it transpired there were two outstanding warrants in existence. The man was subsequently charged and is now before the courts.
