A man has appeared in Court following an assault in Cavan town.
The incident occurred on the roadside in the Gallow's Hill area of Tullacmongan shortly before 7pm on Tuesday.
A man in his 30s was arrested and later charged in connection to the assault.

He appeared before Monaghan District Court on Wednesday.
Gardai in Cavan have issued a witness appeal and want to speak to anyone who was in the immediate area or would have camera footage.
