Both local counties have seen an increase this year.

The Rural and Community Development Minister says she hopes more funding can be allocated under the Local Improvement Scheme this year.

Heather Humphreys today announced over half a million euro for works on non-public roads in local areas.

The LIS scheme allows works to be carried out to improve access to sites like rural homes and farms and outdoor amenities like lakes, rivers and mountains.
