The Children's Minister says he hopes to rebuild trust between the government and survivors of mother and baby homes.

Representative groups were critical of the lack of consultation over a law passed about access to records last month.

The government later clarified that adoptees and survivors are legally entitled to access their personal data.

Children's Minister Roderic O'Gorman says legislation on exhuming remains from the site of the former Tuam mother and baby home will soon be brought forward.

He's also committed to publishing the Commission of Investigation's report as soon as possible:
