The Minister for Justice has announced additional funding to upgrade and expand the Garda fleet this year. An additional €4.3m is being provided and is separate to funding already announced in Budget 2023.
It is expected the funding will allow for the purchase of an estimated 122 new Garda vehicles this year. Minister for Justice, Heather Humphreys, says the Government is committed to supporting the Gardai as they keep our communities safe and tackle crime.
