Minister urged to give green light for St Bricin's College upgrade works

The ETB had submitted an application to the Department of Education for capital funding for accommodation at the school under the Additional School Accommodation scheme.

The need for upgrade works and additional accommodation at St Bricin’s College in Belturbet has been raised in the Dail with the Minister for Education, Norma Foley.

Deputy Brendan Smith said the Minister told him that officials in her department had engaged with the school patron and formal confirmation of the decision on the application will issue to the Cavan/Monaghan Education and Training Board shortly.

The ETB had submitted an application to the Department of Education for capital funding for accommodation at the school under the Additional School Accommodation scheme.

Deputy Smith said he had renewed his request to have the application finalised without delay.
