A native Monaghan broadcaster has said she thinks the changes in the All-Ireland schedule in recent years has become too squeezed.
Grainne McElwain was speaking ahead of Sunday's All-Ireland Football final, when Donegal will face Kerry in Croke Park.
Since 2022, the All-Ireland finals have been held in July, previously they were always held in September.
This change was made to accommodate club players.
The All-Ireland hurling final was only last week, so Grainne believes there hasn't been enough time to digest it before heading in to the football final.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning, Grainne said she understands why the change was made.
"Club players are happy with this. Us as fans, it's too squeezed. I 100% agree. I think it's too squeezed as well. And it should go into August. I can't see it going back to September, but I do feel there should be more space given to games because we don't have time to digest, to look forward to. The All-Ireland Hurling Final happened last weekend, for example, and we're straight into the All-Ireland Football Final. We haven't had a lot of time to digest it and talk about it."
