Ireland needs to continue to decrease its greenhouse gas emissions in order to tackle climate change.
That's according to Carrickmacross - Castleblayney MD councillor, PJ O'Hanlon.
Ireland has an obligation to meet its EU Carbon targets by 2030.
The Fianna Fáil man explained s that solar panels, electric vehicles are a help, and that things are moving in the right direction.
However, Cllr. O'Hanlon believes that more funding is needed for public transport.
Speaking on this morning's Joe Finnegan Show, he spoke about Ireland's GHG emissions target.
