21 year-old dies in Co Fermanagh collision

Officers attended, alongside colleagues from other emergency services.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland has confirmed that a man has died following a road traffic collision in Maguiresbridge.

The PSNI received a report at approximately 1.30am this morning, Friday 26th June, of a single-vehicle collision involving a grey Volkswagen Golf in the Belfast Road area.

Officers attended, alongside colleagues from other emergency services.

Medical treatment was provided to a male driver, and female passenger - they were taken onward to hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries at this time.

Sadly, however, a second passenger in the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

He has been named as 21-year-old Shane Caulfield from the Portadown area.

Police have also arrested the driver on suspicion of a number of related offences.

The Belfast Road which was closed in both directions, has now fully reopened to road users."

The PSNI is appealing for anyone with information about the collision or who has dash cam footage of what happened to contact police.
