Monaghan Lions Club are appealing for help this Christmas in putting together food hampers for people in need in the community.
The club hopes to supply over 250 hampers to families that need some assistance and make sure people don’t go without food over the festive season in Monaghan.
The Lions club will be collecting food at several locations across Monaghan Town this weekend and are also accepting donations via cash or card.

Volunteers will be collecting in Flemings Supervalu, Monaghan Shopping Centre, and Dunnes on Church Square.
Monaghan’s Lions Club President, Emma Gallogly says they needed all non perishable foods for making their hampers for families across the wider Monaghan area.
