Monaghan native launch's debut crime novel 'Limbo'

The novel is a fictional story with a lot social issues included from the 1980s.

A Monaghan native has launched her debut crime novel entitled 'Limbo'

Maureen Gallagher who was born and brought up in Monaghan launched her novel on Saturday the 5th of November.

Cathaoirleach of Monaghan Municipal District Raymond Aughey opened the event at the Squealing Pig last week in Monaghan Town and Maureen also held a book signing event in Eason's in Monaghan.

The novel is a fictional story about a murder of a baby in Donegal and it is set in 1989.

Maureen says the nook maybe be based on a fictional story but it still includes social issues that affected people in the 1980s in Ireland:
