Castleblayney Students are set to go the extra mile for their community this week. Students from Castleblayney Youthreach; Our Lady's Secondary School; and Castleblayney College will raise funds today, Thursday, to purchase a defibrillator.
The students and some of their teachers are participating in a fun walk/run at Lough Muckno. The students are also working in conjunction with Castleblayney Community First Responders, who have agreed to provide those taking part with some training in how to use the defibrillators.
This project is being organised and co-ordinated by Castleblayney Community Engagement Gardaí. Members of the wider community are welcome to attend the event at 11am this morning at Lough Muckno, Castleblayney.
