Alan Dillon, Minister of State for Planning and Local Government, has allocated €192,650 to local authorities to encourage participation of women and diverse groups in local government.
Monaghan County Council has received a funding allocation of €15,500 to encourage participation of women and diverse groups in local government. The funding was issued earlier last week by Alan Dillon, Minister of State for Planning and Local Government.
Co Monaghan received the highest sum of funding that anywhere else in the country, with Minister Dillon praising the local authority for its efforts to improve equality of representation. Speaking to Northern Sound, Minister Dillion credited Monaghan County Council for leading the way.
